This is only the basics of what happened last week in Anderson County real estate.
Least Expensive Home Reported Sold
The least expensive home reported sold this week was a 1350 SF 3 bedroom 2 bath mobile home on 0.23 acres in Anderson.
It sold for $42,000 CASH after being on the market for 133 days. Originally hit the market at $47,500.
Located in the 29626 Zip Code and the McLees Elementary, Robert Anderson Middle, Westside High school district per MLS listing.
Bank owned and being sold AS-IS. Needs work but mainly looks cosmetic however it is hard to say exactly what it needs until AFTER a professional inspection. Listing says it is a 1997 Sweetwater.
Looks like it has a brick or block foundation BUT the listing does not say if it FHA approved.
Has an attached 1 car carport. No heat or air. Public water and sewer. Composition shingle roof.
Carpet and laminate flooring. Fireplace. Owner’s suite bath has garden tub and separate shower.
The description says the seller does not hold the mobile home title and the title is being reviewed for repossession but the home will not be affixed or title retired.
I would advise against buying any property where there is a questions about getting clear title. You see situations like this happen often with foreclosed mobile homes BUT if it were me, I would not buy it at this or any price.
There are plenty of other properties available that do not have title issues.
Most Expensive Home Reported Sold
The most expensive home reported sold this week was a 7000 SF 5 bedroom 4 full bath 3 half bath house on 4.6 acres in Williamston.
It sold for $1,345,000 CASH after being on the market for 116 days. Originally hit the market at $1,450,000.
Located in the 29697 Zip Code and the Spearman Elementary, Wren Middle, Wren High school district per MLS listing.
Home built in 2005 per county tax records. Brick exterior on crawl space construction. Architectural shingle roof. Natural gas heat and central cooling via multiple units.
Combination of attached and detached garages with parking for 7 total. Salt water swimming pool with a pool house that has bar/grill, hot tub and workout facility.
2 story foyer with custom moldings, marble tile, arched stairway and chandelier. Carpet, ceramic tile and hardwood flooring.
Main floor owner’s suite with library, huge walk in closet, fireplace, separate tub and shower, double sinks.
Formal living room, formal dining room, chef’s kitchen with latest top of the line appliances, media room with tiered seating, laundry room, rec room, workshop.
From the listing and the details in the MLS, it sounds like a great home. Sadly the pictures in the MLS are so small it is hard to say for sure.
I hate when a listing has terrible pictures as it reflects badly on all agents to buyers and sellers. If I were selling a million dollar home, I would want the maximum number of large high quality pictures uploaded to the MLS…
