This is only the basics of what happened last week in Anderson County real estate.
Least Expensive Home Reported Sold
The least expensive home reported sold this week was a 999 SF 2 bedroom 1 bath house on 0.25 acres in the city limits of Anderson.
It sold for $5000 CASH after being on the market for 25 days. Originally hit the market at $8000.
Located in the 29624 Zip Code and the Varennes Elementary, McCants Middle, TL Hanna High school district per MLS listing.
Property sold for cash because it was purchased at the tax sale. Plus it needs lots of work before it could be lived in. And the property is located in an area that many buyers/renters will not like.
Because of this, I would not be interested in this property at any price. Bad condition, bad location and potential title issues all add up to a resounding NO for me.
Most Expensive Home Reported Sold
The most expensive home reported sold this week was a 3900 SF 5 bedroom 3.5 bath house on 0.57 acres in the Powdersville area. It has an Easley address BUT it is in Anderson County
It sold for $366,450 after being on the market for 95 days. Originally hit the market at $370,078.
Located in the 29642 Zip Code and the Powdersville Elementary, Powdersville Middle, Powdersville High school district per MLS listing.
Brand new never lived in home with brick and cement exterior on slab construction. 2 car attached garage. Architectural shingle roof. Multizoned HVAC. Public water and septic tank.
Carpet, ceramic tile and hardwood flooring.Fromal dining room, kitchen with breakfast area and island. Den with vaulted ceiling. Owner’s suite on main level has huge walk in closet.
No pictures of the actual home and only a copy of the floor plan and a drawing of the exterior. This is not unusual with homes that are still being built. Sometimes the builder will have several model homes to tour so you can get a feel for what the finished home will be like.
Sold Deal of the Week in Anderson County
The best deal in my opinion of the sold listings this week was a 1688 SF 3 bedroom 2 bath house on 0.87 acres in Williamston.
It sold for $138,000 after being on the market for 90 days. Originally hit the market at $152,500.
Located off 29S in the 29697 Zip Code and the Palmetto Elementary, Palmetto Middle, Palmetto High school district per MLS listing.
Remodeled home with brick and masonite exterior on crawl space construction. Architectural shingle roof. Central electric HVAC. 2 car attached garage. Public water and septic tank.
Stainless appliances, new rear deck, stone fireplace. Carpet and laminate flooring.
Appears to be a flip but as long as the inspection does not uncover any problems, this is not an issue.
