Least Expensive Home Reported Sold
The least expensive home reported sold this week was a 730 SF 2 bedroom 1 bath house on 0.32 acres in the city limits of Anderson.
It sold for $45,200 after being on the market for 117 days. Originally hit the market at $49,500. The seller paid $3300 of the buyer’s closing costs.
Located in the 29625 Zip Code and the Whitehall Elementary, Lakeside Middle, Westside High school district per MLS listing.
Cute looking home with good curb appeal. Aluminum siding with 1 car garage in the basement. Composition shingle roof. Heat pump. Public sewer and water.
Carpet and vinyl flooring. Dining room, laundry room. Appears well maintained and move in ready.
Sadly the listing does not give many details about the basement. Which would make a difference to some buyers.
This home is located in an area that some buyer may not find attractive. But it is a really nice looking home for the price. You cannot expect a $140,000 location if you are buying a $40,000 home!
Most Expensive Home Reported Sold
The most expensive home reported sold this week was a 3530 SF 3 bedroom 3.5 bath house on 0.6 acres in Townville.
It sold for $520,000 CASH after being on the market for 219 days. Originally hit the market at $550,000.
Located in the 29689 Zip Code and the Townville Elementary, Riverside Middle, Pendleton High school district per MLS listing.
Waterfront Hartwell Lake home with covered boat dock. Very good water and close to I-85 off Highway 24.
Brick ranch with partially finished walk out basement. Attached 2 car garage plus another 1 car garage in the basement.
Large rear deck with concrete patio underneath. Architectural shingle roof. Heat pump. Public water and septic tank.
The basement has the 1 car garage, a workshop and a complete in law suite with bedroom, living room, kitchen, bath and laundry room.
Main level master level master suite has walk in closet, double sinks, separate shower and jetted tub.
Carpet, hardwood and tile flooring. Built in bookcases. Open floor plan with large kitchen featuring plenty of cabinets and granite counter tops. Vaulted and trey ceilings. Stone fireplace.
Very nice lake home in great location and move in ready. Appears well maintained as well.
Sold Deal of the Week in Anderson County
The best deal in my opinion of the sold listings this week was a 3745 SF 3 bedroom 2 bath house on 29 acres in Honea Path.
It sold for $257,500 after being on the market for 6 days. Originally hit the market at $175,000 but that price included only 14 acres.
Located in the 29654 Zip Code and the Honea Path Elementary, Honea Oath Middle, Belton-Honea Path High school district per MLS listing.
Brick ranch built in 1973 per MLS listing. Full walkout basement with garage. 2 car attached carport. Composition shingle roof. Heat pump. Public water, private well and septic tank. Small barn.
Carpet and laminate flooring. Multiple fireplaces. Built in bookcases. Workshop, office/study, formal dining room, formal living room, laundry room.
I mentioned the home was built in 1973 and it appears to have never been updated. It does appear to be in good shape however.
I cand overlook the home needing updating because of the size of the lot and home compared to the price. Most of the acreage is pasture but the listing does not say if it is fenced.
Foreclosures and Short Sales
Only 1 of the homes reported sold this past week was a foreclosure. It was NOT listed as a foreclosure in the MLS but it required an additional addendum that identified it as a foreclosure.
Some banks do not want their properties listed as a foreclosure or advertised as as bank owned.
None of the homes reported sold this past week was a short sale.
