Least Expensive Home Reported Sold
The least expensive home reported sold this week was a 1100 SF 2 bedroom 1 bath house on 0.18 acres in the city limits of Anderson.
It sold for $3740 CASH via an online auction.
Located in the 29625 Zip Code and the Centerville Elementary, Lakeside Middle, Westside High school district per MLS listing.
Really nasty looking and needs lots of work. No heat or air. Public water and sewer. Over 50 years old so probably has lead based paint.
Despite being the least expensive home reported sold this week, this is NOT a good deal. The home needs more work than it is worth and the location is not attractive to many buyers/renters.
Most Expensive Home Reported Sold
The most expensive home reported sold this week was a 2044 SF 3 bedroom 2 bath house on 75 acres in Belton.
It sold for $462,500 after being on the market for 65 days. Originally hit the market at $549,627.
Located in the 29627 Zip Code and the Belton Elementary, Palmetto Middle, Palmetto High school district per MLS listing.
Property is in great location that is convenient to Anderson, Williamston or Greenville.
2 homes on the property, one is the original 1865 cabin and the other is a 1970’s era ranch that has been updated and looks modern.
The cabin has been meticulously preserved and updated with electricity and thermal pane windows. Heated with a buck stove. Not sure if it has a bathroom or a short path to the bath…
The main home has ceramic tile and heart of pine flooring, thermal pane windows, built in bookcases. Electric forced air heat and central AC. Architectural shingle roof.
Bonus room, laundry room, billiards/rec room, den with fireplace, updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances.
Spring fed fishing or swimming pond. Private wetlands for duck hunting. About half of the land is pasture. Listing says there is a barn but no pictures or details.
Located at the end of a dead end road, this home would be perfect for someone wanting privacy while still being close to town.
Sold Deal of the Week in Anderson County
The best deal in my opinion of the sold listings this week was a 4380 SF 5 bedroom 2 bath house on 1.94 acres in Anderson.
It sold for $255,000 after being on the market for 514 days if you combine both of the consecutive listings with the same agent/company. Originally hit the market at $285,000. The seller paid $1000 of the buyer’s closing costs.
Located in the 29621 Zip Code and the North Pointe Elementary, McCants Middle, TL Hanna High school district per MLS listing.
Huge home on almost 2 acres in great location. Close to shopping and I-85.
Over 50 years old but appears well maintained and still has it’s original charm. Wrap around porch, 9 foot ceilings, gorgeous hardwood flooring, extensive molding & trim.
Aluminum siding on crawl space. Architectural shingle and metal roof. Forced air heat and central AC. Public water and septic tank.
2 car detached carport. Workshop. Formal living room , formal dining room, laundry room. Multiple fireplaces, French doors, walk in closet.
Really great price considering the size of the lot/house and the location. I do not understand why it took so long to sell unless it was hard to get a showing.

This Week’s Hot New Listing

Hit the market at $109,900.
Located on dead end street in the 29670 Zip Code and the Pendleton Elementary, Pendleton Middle, Riverside High school district.
Brick with vinyl/aluminum trim on crawl space. No exact age in MLS or online county records but looks like a 1970’s ranch.
Nice mature landscaping. Large rear deck. Architectural shingle roof. Heat pump.Public sewer and water.
Den with stone fireplace. Bonus room, laundry room. Hardwood, carpet and laminate flooring. Master suite has 2 closets.
Appears well maintained and move in ready but some of the interior is dated. Still you can;t complain too much at this price.
