This is only the basics of what happened last week in Anderson County real estate.
Least Expensive Home Reported Sold
The least expensive home reported sold this week was a 1563 SF 3 bedroom 1.5 bath house on 0.5 acres in the city limits of Anderson.
It sold for $111,000 after being on the market for 42 days. Originally hit the market at $90,000.
Located in the 29625 Zip Code and the Whitehall Elementary, Robert Anderson Middle, Westside High school district per MLS listing.
Brick and wood exterior on crawl space construction, home is over 30 years old per MLS listing. Architectural shingle roof. Gas pack heat and central electric cooling. Public sewer and water.
The roof and the HVAC are only 5 years old according to the listing description. It appears the home had a 1 car attached carport that was closed in but there is a storage building in the backyard.
Ceramic tile, hardwood, laminate and vinyl flooring. Fresh paint throughout. New flooring, countertops and microwave in the kitchen.
Both bathrooms completely remodeled. New light fixtures and updated electrical.
Most Expensive Home Reported Sold
The most expensive home reported sold this week was a 4000 SF 4 bedroom 3 bath house on 24 acres in Williamston.
It sold for $600,000 after being on the market for 479 days. Originally hit the market at $984,900.
Located in the 29697 Zip Code and the Spearman Elementary, Wren Middle, Wren High school district per MLS listing.
Brick on crawl space construction. Home was built in 1977 per county tax records. 2 car attached garage. Heat pump. Public water and septic tank.
Brick, hardwood and carpet flooring. Library. Owner’s suite on 2nd floor has a fireplace and walk in closet.
Home’s interior looks dated but well maintained. Home sits well off the road and most of the acreage appears to be fenced pasture.
It took a very long time to sell. This could be due to being overpriced when it first hit the market but it could also be due to there being NO description in the MLS. There are pictures but they are NOT of the quality that a seller should expect for a listing in this price range in my opinion.
Sold Deal of the Week in Anderson County
The best deal in my opinion of the sold listings this week was a 2136 SF 5 bedroom 3 bath house on 0.5 acres in Pendleton.
It sold for $145,000 CASH after being on the market for 80 days. Originally hit the market at $149,900.
Located in the 29670 Zip Code and the Pendleton Elementary, Riverside Middle, Pendleton High school district per MLS listing. Only 1 mile from downtown Pendleton and 4 miles from Clemson University.
Brick and vinyl siding exterior with a walkout basement. No garage or carport. Composition shingle roof. Heat pump. Public water and sewer. Large screened in porch and balcony facing the private backyard.
New flooring in the kitchen and dining room. Home appears to be move in ready but the interior does reflect the homes 30 plus years.
Still a really good price considering the size/location.condition.

If homes in Anderson County continue to sell at the same pace and no more homes hit the market, it will take 16+2 days to sell all of the available homes. This statistic is for all homes in Anderson County and based only on this week’s activity.
Plus because of the Holidays, the number of home sales is probably a little lower which will affect the absorption rate…
