Least Expensive Home Reported Sold
The least expensive home reported sold this week was a 1685 SF 3 bedroom 1 bath house on 1.4 acres in Anderson.
It sold for $18,000 CASH after being on the market for 7 days. Originally hit the market at $25,000.
Located in the 29624 Zip Code and the Starr Elementary, Starr-Iva Middle, Crescent High school district per MLS listing.
Over 50 years old and looks rough. Wood exterior on crawl space with metal roof. No heat or air. Public water and septic tank.
The listing says it needs “lots of TLC” and that is putting it mildly. No pictures of the interior and only 1 picture of the exterior.
Remember that just because a home is cheap does NOT mean it is a good deal.
Most Expensive Home Reported Sold
The most expensive home reported sold this week was a 7611 SF 5 bedroom 5.5 bath house on 10.97 acres in Anderson.
It sold for $595,000 after being on the market for 288 days if we combine both of the consecutive listings with the same agent/company. Originally hit the market at $595,000.
Located in the 29621 Zip Code and the North Pointe Elementary, McCants Middle, TL Hanna High school district per MLS listing.
Brick exterior with full finished walkout basement. 2 car attached carport plus a huge metal shop/garage as well as 2 barns. The main barn has 4 tack rooms and 6 stalls.
Architectural shingle roof. Multi-zoned heat pump for the AC and natural gas / radiant heat. Nice covered front porch, in ground pool, tennis court, 33X17 rear deck off the kitchen.
Carpet, ceramic tile and stone flooring. Built in book cases, multiple fireplaces. Kitchen with breakfast area, bonus room, formal dining, formal living, laundry, media room, office/study, rec room and workshop.
Main level owner suite has walk in closet, sitting area, double sink.
Very convenient location close to shopping and not far from I-85.
Well worth the money based on the quality/features of the property, location and the size of the lot and home.
Sold Deal of the Week in Anderson County
The best deal in my opinion of the sold listings this week was a 1250 SF 3 bedroom 2 bath mobile home on 4.5 acres in Anderson.
It sold for $131,000 after being on the market for 598 days. Originally hit the market at $139,899.
Lake Secession home with 200 feet of waterfront and large floating dock.
Located in the 29621 Zip Code and the Wright Elementary, Honea Path Middle, Belton Honea Path High school district per MLS listing.
Home sits way off the road with private gated entry and lots of pasture. Really hard to see the home from the road so you have plenty of privacy.
Metal roof, heat pump, covered front and rear porches and an incredible view of the lake from the rear porch. Septic tank and private well.
Carpet and vinyl flooring. Walk in closet in the owner’s suite. Heat pump.
It took a long time to sell but this is probably due to the hard time some people would have obtaining a mortgage. The eventual buyers of this property used a conventional mortgage.
Do not let the long time on the market fool you because this is a great property for someone wanting to live on the lake and have some privacy with a large lot.
There are some outbuildings but no details or pictures. Also no garage mentioned but with 4.5 acres, there is plenty of room to add whatever you want or need.

This Week’s Hot New Listing
The best deal of this week’s new listings in my opinion is a 1145 SF 3 bedroom 1 bath house on less than 0.49 acres in Anderson.
Hit the market at $35,000
Located in the 29624 Zip Code and the Varennes, Southwood, Westside school district.
Brick ranch on quiet dead end street. Needs some work but priced to reflect this. Has lots of potential and good rental history.
Heat pump, public water and sewer. Being sold AS-IS but buyers are welcome to make inspections but seller will not be making any repairs.
This is my listing so we are looking for closers not posers!
51 homes were reported as going under contract (Pending) this week in Anderson County.
Currently there are 273 homes in the MLS with an Under Contract (Pending) status.
