Least Expensive Home Reported Sold
The least expensive home reported sold this week was a 700 SF 1 bedroom 1 bath house on 1.1 acres in the city limits of Anderson.
It sold for $10,000 CASH after being on the market for 2932 days. Originally hit the market at $37,500.
Located in the 29624 Zip Code and the listing agent entered “Other” for the schools. Not that you should ever 100% trust that the schools are correct.
Not a foreclosure. Based upon the extremely long time it took to sell, I would say this home was grossly overpriced when it first hit the market.
Very limited details in the MLS and only 1 picture of the exterior that has a date from 2008 on it.
The listing description says the seller is motivated yet it took 8 years to sell?
Most Expensive Home Reported Sold
The most expensive home reported sold this week was a 7652 SF 6+ bedroom 5.5 bath house on 2.08 acres in Anderson.
It sold for $1,250,000 CASH and appears to have been a pocket listing. A pocket listing is when a home is not in the MLS but is “in the agent’s pocket”. While this is not as effective for marketing the home to the maximum number of buyers, it is a great way to protect the seller’s privacy.
Located in the 29625 Zip Code and the New Prospect Elementary, Robert Anderson Middle, Westside High school district per MLS listing.
Waterfront Hartwell Lake home with double decker covered dock in place.
Cement plank and stone exterior. Full finished walkout basement. 4+ car attached garage. Geothermal heating and cooling. Architectural shingle roof. Home built in 2006 per MLS listing.
Exercise room, office/study, rec room, sun room, media room, formal living room, laundry room.
I could go on and on about the features. This home deserved the sold price based upon the location, features and the size of the home and lot.
Sold Deal of the Week in Anderson County
The best deal in my opinion of the sold listings this week was a 2100 SF 3 bedroom 2 bath house on roughly 0.49 acres in the city limits of Anderson.
