Most Expensive Home Reported Sold
The most expensive home reported sold this week was a 3500 SF 5 bedroom 3 bath house on roughly 1 acre in the city limits of Anderson.
It sold for $330,000 after being on the market for 104 days. Originally hit the market at $339,900. The seller paid $3000 of the buyers closing costs.
Located in the 29621 Zip Code and the Whitehall Elementary, Lakeside Middle, Westside High school district per MLS listing.
Wood exterior on crawl space. No age in either the MLS or county tax records but it is over 50 years old and located in the Historic District. Don’t that fact or the exterior fool you as the home has been updated and appears to be in excellent shape.
2 car attached garage. Architectural shingle roof. Heat pump. Public water and sewer.
Carpet, ceramic tile and hardwood flooring. Built in bookcases. Multiple fireplaces. Granite and solid surface countertops. Wet bar. Some 9 foot ceilings.
Main level master suite has new bathroom with jetted tub and walk in closet.
Updated kitchen has granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, walk in pantry and breakfast area.
Mud room, laundry room, office/study, sun room, bonus room, formal dining room. 2 master suites, one up and one down.
They don’t build them like this any more and great Old North Anderson location.
Sold Deal of the Week in Anderson County
The best deal in my opinion of the sold listings this week was a 2527 SF 3 bedroom 3 bath house on 6.15 acres in Central. It is in Anderson County but has a Central address.
It sold for $190,000 after being on the market for 363 days. Originally hit the market at $249,500. The seller paid $5000 of the buyer’s closing costs.
Located in the 29630 Zip Code and the Pendleton Elementary, Riverside Middle, Pendleton High school district per MLS listing.
Brick ranch with unfinished basement. 2 car attached garage plus oversized detached 2 car garage/workshop. Heat pump. Composition shingle roof. Public water and septic tank.
Some updating has been done in the kitchen and the bathroom. The home appears well maintained but does have dated interior.
Still, with the huge lot, unfinished basement and convenient location this home has a lot going for it considering it sold for $190,000.
It did take a long time to sell but that is due to it being grossly overpriced when it hit the market in my opinion.
