Anderson County South Carolina real estate market report for the week ending April 22 2018

 

57 Homes Sold in Anderson County

 

There were 32 homes in Anderson, 2 in Belton, 1 in Central, 1 in Easley (Powedersville area), 5 in Honea Path, 1 in Iva, 1 in Pelzer, 4 in Pendleton, 1 in Piedmont, 1 in Starr, 3 in Townville and 5 in Williamston reported sold this past week.

 

1 condo, 4 mobile homes, 1 town house and 51 single family homes were reported sold this past week in Anderson County.

 

The average price of the homes reported sold this week was $164,778.

 

The median price of the homes reported sold this week was $151,000.

 

The average days on market of the homes reported sold this past week was 82 days.

 

This is only the basics of what happened last week in Anderson County real estate.

 

 

Least Expensive Home Reported Sold

 

The least expensive home reported sold this week was a 1800 SF 3 bedroom 1 bath house on 0.662 acres in the city limits of Honea Path.

 

It sold for $5000 and appears to have already been sold when entered into the MLS.

 

Located in the 29654 Zip Code and the Honea Path Elementary, Honea Path Middle, Belton-Honea Path High school district per MLS listing.

 

Very few details entered into the MLS and no picture. It appears this home was listed with a real estate company that is not a member of the MLS.

 

The selling agent is a member of the WUAR MLS and must have wanted this entered into the MLS records so they could have it counted for their production statistics.

 

The previous sales in the county tax records show this home selling for only $2,670 in 2015. It is a house but considering it sold twice at the price of just a lot, it must not be much of a house!

 

 

Most Expensive Home Reported Sold

 

The most expensive home reported sold this week was a 2370 SF 3 bedroom 2.5 bath house on 0.7 acres in Anderson.

 

It sold for $415,000 CASH after being on the market for 51 days. Originally hit the market at $435,000.

 

Located in the 29625 Zip Code and the Mount Lebanon Elementary, Riverside Middle, Pendleton High school district per MLS listing.

 

Waterfront Hartwell Lake home with covered slip dock in place. The dock has a lift and according to the listing, there was 19 feet of water as of 3/2/18.

 

Custom built in 1993 per MLS listing. Brick exterior on crawl space. 3 car attached garage. Architectural shingle roof. Heat pump. Public water and septic tank. Aluminum low-E windows.

 

Rear deck with awing. Brick patio. Irrigation system. Gentle slope to the lake.

 

Inside is a split floor plan with hardwood, ceramic tile and carpet flooring. Living room with gas log fireplace. Formal dining room, kitchen with breakfast area, sun room and laundry room.

 

Master suite has 2 walk in closets, double sinks, jetted tub, and walk in shower.

 

A really nice lake home with good water and a dock in place makes this a pretty good price. Home appears to be well maintained, updated and in great shape.

 

 

Sold Deal of the Week in Anderson County

 

The best deal in my opinion of the sold listings this week was a 2249 SF 4 bedroom 2 bath house on 1.02 acres in the city limits of Honea Path.

 

It sold for $160,000 after being on the market for 53 days. Originally hit the market at $180,000.

 

Located in the 29654 Zip Code and the Honea Path Elementary, Honea Path Middle, Belton-Honea Path High school district per MLS listing.

 

Brick ranch built in 1963 but extensively updated and renovated. New flooring throughout and entire home has been repainted. Architectural shingle roof. Heat pump.

 

The kitchen has new cabinets, subway tile backsplash, stainless appliances, gas stove/oven and a large center island with a butcher block top. Very modern and stylish looking!

 

Both bathrooms have new tile flooring, sinks and fixtures, and tile surrounding the bathtubs.

 

Large covered patio, detached workshop and fenced in backyard.

 

This home was sold in October of 2017 for only $50,000 and appears this is an investor flip. It looks great but an inspection is a must to ensure the renovation was done correctly.

 

 

Foreclosures and Short Sales

 

4 of the homes reported sold this past week was a foreclosure.

 

None of the homes reported sold this past week was a short sale.

 

Today there are 11 foreclosed homes for sale in Anderson County.

 

Today there is only 1 home listed as a short sale in Anderson County.

Brick ranch in fantastic location and appears to be well maintained and move in ready.

 

2 car attached carport and 1 car attached garage. Architectural shingle roof. Public water and sewer. Concrete patio in the fenced backyard.

 

Carpet, ceramic tile, hardwood and laminate flooring. Den with brick fireplace. Kitchen with breakfast area.

 

The home is in great shape but could use some cosmetic updating. Fantastic condition and very convenient location.
