Least Expensive Home Reported Sold
The least expensive home reported sold this week was a 2000 SF 4 bedroom 2 bath house on 0.81 acres in the city limits of Honea Path.
It sold for $17,500 CASH and appears to have already been sold when entered into the MLS. It looks like it was listed with an agent that is not a member of the WUAR MLS and the selling agent is a member and wanted this sale entered into the MLS.
Located in the 29654 Zip Code and the Honea Path Elementary, Honea Path Middle, Belton-Honea Path High school district per MLS listing.
Very limited details in the MLS but using some of the other tools I have for researching properties makes it appear this is a big old 2 story house.
Looks like a wood exterior on crawl space. No heat or air.
The roof has tarps over it on several places so it is safe to assume it is bad and leaking.
It look really rough both inside and out but that is to be expected with a $17,500 house. It will need a lot of work before it could be lived in.
This home was probably best suited for someone with the cash and experience to repair the home. At one time, this was probably a really nice home but years of neglect have taken a serious toll on it.

Most Expensive Home Reported Sold
The most expensive home reported sold this week was a 2702 SF 4 bedroom 2 bath house on about 15 acres in Belton.
It sold for $539,000 after being on the market for 198 days. Originally hit the market at $559,900.
Located in the 29627 Zip Code and the Midway Elementary, Glenview Middle, TL Hanna High school district per MLS listing.
Home sits back off of the street and is located on a dead end street. There are 3 tax map numbers included on this listing and it is mainly pasture land.
There is a 2 story barn with 5 12X12 stalls, hot/cold wash stall and a tack room. Storage shed, dog kennel and a chicken coop.
The brick home appears to be in great move in condition. Slab foundation and architectural shingle roof. Heat pump. Public water and septic tank.
Carpet, ceramic tile and hardwood flooring. Laundry room, den with fireplace, dining room. Owners suite with walk in closet and double sinks added in 2016.
Kitchen with center island and solid surface counter tops, down draft cook top, stainless steel appliances, ice machine and double ovens.
Very nice home on acreage that would be perfect for a horse lover.

This Week’s Hot New Listing
The best deal of this week’s new listings in my opinion is a 1771 SF 4 bedroom 1 bath on 0.17 acres in Pelzer.
Hit the market at $89,000.
Located in the 29669 Zip Code and the W Pelzer Elementary, Palmetto Middle, Palmetto High school district.
Over 50 years but has been updated with new electrical, plumbing, flooring, paint and fixtures. New metal roof and HVAC in 2010. Detached 2 car garage.
Vinyl siding on crawl space. Fenced backyard. Small storage building. Public sewer and water.
The listing says it has hardwood floors but most of the home appears to have vinyl flooring. Laundry room and workshop. Built in book cases and fireplace.
Looks to be well maintained and move in ready but as always a professional home inspection is a must! But this is a big house for the money and a perfect starter home!
43 homes were reported as going under contract (Pending) this week in Anderson County.
Currently there are 310 homes in the MLS with an Under Contract (Pending) status.
