It sold for $15,000 CASH after being on the market for 340 days. Originally hit the market at $38,000.
Located in the 29624 Zip Code and the Homeland Park Elementary, Lakeside Middle, Westside High school district per MLS listing.
Property backs up to Hwy 81S so the listing states it has commercial potential. It also has the potential to be a landing area for UFOs or the sight for the next Presidential inauguration.
With less than 0.25 acres, I would say there isn’t much commercial potential. Or potential as a UFO landing area or for the inauguration of any major political office.
The home needs work and the bedrooms do not have closets. Technically, a room needs to have a closet to considered a bedroom…
I wonder why the listing didn’t say it had the potential to be a 2 bedroom house? If it has commercial potential, it certainly could be said to have the potential to have 2 bedrooms…
Wood exterior on crawl space. No exact age in the MLS or county tax records but it looks about 50 years old. Composition shingle roof. Public sewer and water. No garage or carport but there is an outbuilding.
The listing says “other – see remarks” under heating system but there is nothing in the remarks about the heating system. This usually means there is no heat or it does not work. There is a gas floor furnace in one of the pictures.
Hardwood, vinyl and laminate flooring.The hardwood flooring that I see needs refinishing.
The ceiling has been removed in one room to give the room a cathedral ceiling with exposed beams.
Cheap wood paneling in some rooms. The only picture of the bathroom shows a sink that looks like it is about to fall off the wall and onto the floor.
Covered front porch. Appears to have a fenced back yard with a large mature shade tree.
Many buyers will not find the location desirable with lots of traffic noise coming from the busy road right behind the home.

Most Expensive Home Reported Sold
The most expensive home reported sold this week was a 2600 SF 4 bedroom 3 bath house on 0.75 acres in Anderson.
It sold for $447,000 after being on the market for 163 days. Originally hit the market at $499,900.
Located in the 29625 Zip Code and the LaFrance Elementary, Riverside Middle, Pendleton High school district per MLS listing.
Waterfront Hartwell Lake home with covered dock in place. Paved cart path to the dock. Appears to have good water.
Brick home with partially finished walkout basement. 2 car attached garage. Architectural shingle roof. Heat pump. Public water and septic tank.
Covered front porch and huge rear deck. Below the rear deck is a large concrete patio.
Carpet, ceramic tile and hardwood flooring. Kitchen with breakfast area. Living/dining combination with fireplace.
The kitchen appears to have granite countertops but it also has a stove/oven that looks cheap. It sticks out like a sore thumb…
Main level owners suite has double closets, jetted tub and separate shower.
The listing says the home was built in 1999 but the home has wall paper that looks straight out of the 1980’s.
Still, the home appears to be in excellent shape and move in ready. Plus it has a dock, good water and is on a cul-de-sac surrounded by nice homes.
Sold Deal of the Week in Anderson County
The best deal in my opinion of the sold listings this week was a 2301 SF 3 bedroom 2 bath house on 0.41 acres in the city limits of Anderson.
It sold for $131,000 after being on the market for 248 days. Originally hit the market at $129,000. The seller paid $2000 of the buyer’s closing costs.
Located in the 29621 Zip Code and the Concord Elementary, McCants Middle, TL Hanna High school district per MLS listing.
Right off Clemson Boulevard in the heart of town. Which is either a positive or a negative depending on how you look at things.
Brick on crawl space construction. 2 car detached carport. Natural gas heat and central AC. Public sewer and water.
Carpet, slate and vinyl flooring, The listing says there are hardwoods under the carpet.
Formal living room, formal dining room, bonus room, rec room, workshop.
Den with built in book shelves and fireplace. The den opens up onto private patio with brick surround.
Home need cosmetic updating BUT huge home for the money. Also, desirable location/schools for some buyers.
You may be wondering why it took so long to sell. Showings required an advance notice so it may have been a pain to get a showing.
Maybe it was tenant occupied. Or maybe the seller did not understand that anything that limits the number of showings REALLY hurts the chances of the home being shown/sold.
