Short sale. The home does have brick underpinning but the listing does not say if it is FHA approved. I doubt it since it sold so cheaply. Still, this appears to be a great price.
Most Expensive Home Reported Sold
The most expensive home reported sold this week in Anderson County was a 4444 SF 4 bedroom 3.5 bath home on 0.994 acres in the city limits of Anderson. It sold for $338,000 after being on the market for 135 days. Originally listed for $375,000.
This was actually the 3rd time this home has been on the market in the past 2 years but with other agents/companies. It first hit the market at $525,000 way back on 7-24-2012.
This is an impressive home that was built in 1919 and is located in the Historic District close to Anderson University. 2 master suites, butler’s pantry, multiple fireplaces, formal living room, den. Red tile roof. 2 car detached garage. This is a classic Southern home. Amazing home.
Deal of the Week
In my opinion, the best deal of the homes sold this week in Anderson County was a brick 2000 SF 3 bedroom 1.5 bath home on less than 0.99 acres in the city limits of Honea Path. It sold for $72,000 after being on the market for 59 days. Originally listed at $79,000.
Appeared to be in good shape but does need some updating. Still a brick home of this size at this price is a good deal.
