The least expensive home reported sold this week in Anderson County was a 2000 SF 5 bedroom 2 bath home on 0.83 acres in the city limits of Belton. It sold for $67,400 after being on the market for 14 days. Foreclosure, not in too bad shape, several windows boarded up though. Hope they were boarded up before it rained and caused too much damage to the hardwood floors.
The most expensive home reported sold this week in Anderson County was a 1600 SF 3 bedroom 2 bath condo on Lake Hartwell in Anderson. It sold for $170,000 after being on the market for 181 days. On the top floor of a very nice high rise development in a great location close to I-85. Could make a great weekender for Clemson games. Community pool & boat dock. Gated development. I can remember some of these units selling for about double this price and these were units on the lower floors…
In my opinion, the best deal of the homes sold this week in Anderson County was hard to pick. While the least expensive home had lots of size for the price, the most expensive home could be a great deal as long as it did include one of the boat slips. The listing company made no mention of the boat slip but I think they are deeded. When buying a lake property, never ever assume the dock or boat slip passes with the sale.
Heck the listing company did not even identify the property as a foreclosure in the MLS. But I know it is one because this company does nothing but list foreclosures. And they have a reputation for making lots of errors when entering listings. Intentional or a mistake? Who knows and who cares.
If it is important to a buyer, then the buyer needs to confirm whatever it is that is important to them. Remember that if you are buying!
2 of the homes reported sold this past week were foreclosures.
Only 1 of the homes reported sold was a short sale.
Today there are 108 foreclosed homes for sale in Anderson County.
Today there are 1325 homes for sale in Anderson County.
There were 50 new listings to hit the MLS this week in Anderson County.
The best deal in my opinion of this week’s new listings in Anderson County is a 1250 SF 2 bedroom 1 bath home on 3.1 acres in Anderson. Hit the market at $39,900. Foreclosure and I would expect multiple offers. The listing says it has an office that could be a 3rd bedroom. It will require some work but does not look too bad. Other than some of the kitchen cabinets have been painted black.
19 homes were reported as going Under Contract (Pending) this week.
Currently there are 158 homes in the MLS with an Under Contract (Pending) status.
