This is only the basics of what happened last week in Anderson County real estate.
Least Expensive Home Reported Sold
The least expensive home reported sold this week was a 1200 SF 2 bedroom 1 bath house on roughly 0.18 acres in the city limits of Anderson.
It sold for $5950 CASH and was sold at auction.
Located in the 29625 Zip Code and the Centerville Elementary, Lakeside Middle, Westside High school district per MLS listing.
Home was sold via an online auction and was sold with only a Tax Deed. I strongly suggest that you do lots of research into buying a homes with tax deeds.
Home was boarded up and sold AS-IS. No interior pictures but you can tell it needs plenty of work before it is livable or could be rented.
This house is also located in an area that some buyers or renters may not find attractive or desirable.
But if you understand the costs to rehab the home and the costs to clear up the tax deed, then you could make money,
That is a bunch of IF’s to contend with…
Most Expensive Home Reported Sold
The most expensive home reported sold this week was a 4187 SF 4 bedroom 4 bath house on just over an acre in Pendleton.
It sold for $381,386 and appears to have been sold before being entered into the MLS.
Located in the 29670 Zip Code and the Mount Lebanon Elementary, Riverside Middle, Pendleton High school district per MLS listing.
Brand new never lived in home and like I said before, it was NOT entered into the MLS until after it was already under contract. Not all of the new homes available in our area are entered into the MLS.
I am unsure why some home builders join the MLS and then fail to use it to their advantage. Despite all the changes due to technology, the MLS is still the number one method of exposing a home to the maximum number of qualified buyers.
2 story home with brick and stone exterior. 2 car attached garage. Architectural shingle roof. Multizoned HVAC. Public water and septic tank.
Formal dining room, formal living room, family room, laundry room. Carpet, ceramic tile and hardwood floors. Covered porch.
Main level has kitchen with granite countertops and 42″ upper cabinets, 1 bedroom, 1 full bath, living room, dining room and family room with fireplace.
Master suite is on 2nd level. It has sitting room, 2 walk in closets, garden tub with tile surround and separate shower.
Sold Deal of the Week in Anderson County
The best deal in my opinion of the sold listings this week was a brick 3016 SF 3 bedroom 2 bath house in Piedmont.

New architectural shingle roof and new HVAC! New gutters and fresh exterior paint too!
1 car attached carport and walkout basement with workshop. Plus a storage shed and above ground pool in the fenced backyard.
Very nice modern looking kitchen with granite countertops and appliances only 2 years old. Enclosed porch and huge patio.

This Week’s Hot New Listing
The best deal of this week’s new listings in my opinion is a brick 2619 SF 3 bedroom 2.5 bath house on about 0.5 acres in the city limits of Anderson.
Hit the market at $158,000
Located in the 29621 Zip Code and the Concord Elementary, McCants Middle, TL Hanna High school district per MLS listing.
Great location and more importantly, this is a John Holman home. Holman built high quality homes in the Anderson area and these homes often have dental crown molding in the living areas. They were built right and built to last.
1 car attached carport. Large flat backyard. Raised tile patio. Underground irrigation system. Public water and sewer.
Formal living, formal dining with built ins, den with fireplace and wet bar, large mud room/laundry room. Master suite has walk in closet.
The fact this is a Holman home made it my top pick of this week’s new listings. Sadly there were no pictures of the interior so it is possible the home will need cosmetic updating.
10 homes were reported as going under contract (Pending) this week in Anderson County.
Currently there are 148 homes in the MLS with an Under Contract (Pending) status.
