Because these statistics are for only one week and all of Anderson County, it may not tell you what is possible for a specific home. As always there may have been more closings but the agent has not turned in the closing sheet to the WUAR MLS yet.
This is only the basics of what happened last week in Anderson County real estate.
Least Expensive Home Reported Sold
The least expensive home reported sold this week was a 738 SF 2 bedroom 1 bath house on about 0.1 acres in the city limits of Anderson.
It sold for $10,000 CASH after being on the market for 62 days. Originally hit the market at $12,500.
Located in the 29624 Zip Code and the Nevitt Forest Elementary, Robert Anderson Middle, Westside High school district per MLS listing.
Foreclosure. There are very limited details in the MLS and the pictures are super tiny. But I can tell the home needs work and is located in an area that many buyers will not find attractive.
It appears this home was sold via an online auction. If you are interested in a home being sold via auction, you MUST understand all the fine print of the auction.
Most Expensive Home Reported Sold
The most expensive home reported sold this week was a 4420 SF 4 bedroom 3.5 bath house on 0.57 acres in Greenville.
It sold for $526,000 after being on the market for 3 days. Originally hit the market at $529,000.
Located in the 29611 Zip Code and the Powdersville Elementary, Powdersville Middle, Powdersville High school district per MLS listing.
You will notice that this home has a Greenville address but it IS in Anderson County in the Powdersville area. You will find homes in the Powdersville area that have addresses that make you think they are in another county but are actually in Anderson County.
You should never assume a home is in a particular county or school district and you should always confirm every detail that is important to you or may affect the value of the property.
That being said, this is one heck of a home! Which should be obvious since it went under contract in only 3 days!
10 year old Craftsman style home with attached car garage. Formal dining room, sitting room. Open kitchen features custom cabinets, oak flooring, granite counter tops, subway tile backsplash, stainless appliances and Butler’s Pantry. Family room has fireplace and coffered ceiling.
Office with built in shelving and 2nd fireplace. Master’s suite on main level with hardwood flooring, trey ceiling with detailed crown molding, access to the covered patio, over sized jetted tub, glass walk in shower and walk in closet with custom shelving.
Laundry / mud room with slate floor. Upstairs is the 4th bedroom, 3rd bath and a bonus room. Outside there is a brick and flagstone paved patio that is covered by a copper roof!
All of this in a location that is convenient to Anderson, Easley or Greenville! No wonder it went under contract so quickly!
Sold Deal of the Week in Anderson County
The best deal in my opinion of the sold listings this week was a 1972 SF 3 bedroom 2 bath house on 0.45 acres in Piedmont.

Located in the 29673 Zip Code and the Wren Elementary, Wren Middle and Wren High school district per MLS listing.
Built in 2007. Architectural shingle roof. Located on cul-de-sac. Carpet, ceramic tile and hardwood floors. 2 car attached garage and small outbuilding.
Kitchen has black appliances and breakfast area. Great room has vaulted ceiling and fireplace. Large bonus room also.
Move in ready, decent price for the size of the home/lot and located in an area/school district that is very popular with buyers.

This Week’s Hot New Listing
The best deal of this week’s new listings in my opinion is a brick 3337 SF 4 bedroom 2.5 bath house on 0.63 acres in the city limits of Anderson.
Hit the market at $239,000
Located in the 29621 Zip Code and the Calhoun Elementary, McCants Middle, Hanna High school district per MLS listing.
Built in 1976 but very modern updated look and feel. 2 car attached garage. In ground pool. Flat fenced yard.
Updated kitchen features Bosch appliances, gas cooktop, granite counter tops, tons of cabinets including a cookware closet, double pantry, aluminum backsplash.
Large den has fireplace, built in bookshelves and floor to ceiling windows. Bonus room. Master suite has 2 walk in closets. Yes I said 2…
While not a smoking hot deal, it is the look and feel of this home that caught my attention. Yes it is the location and schools that are popular with many buyers. But once you look at the home, you see this is not a cookie cutter home.
The unique color choice for the kitchen cabinets may hurt or help depending on the buyer.
20 homes were reported as going under contract (Pending) this week in Anderson County.
Currently there are 213 homes in the MLS with an Under Contract (Pending) status.
