Least Expensive Home Reported Sold
The least expensive home reported sold this week in Anderson County was a brick 985 SF 2 bedroom 1 bath home on 0.22 acres in Belton. It sold for $14,501 CASH after being on the market for 6 days. Originally listed at $14,500.
Foreclosure. In very rough shape as the sold price reflects.
One interesting thing is in the private agent notes in the MLS it states “Seller will prosecute trespassers”. Anyone looking at homes ( not just foreclosed homes ) needs to understand that just because a home is for sale or has a for sale sign in the yard does not mean you can trespass. You never know if the seller has a mean dog. Or a gun. Or if you will take the blame for some theft or vandalism that took place the night before.

Nice custom brick home with dining room, bonus room, loft and Florida room. New hardwood floors. New barn. Attached 2 car garage. Master suite has walk in closet & jacuzzi tub. Sits back off the road and has an above ground pool.
Sold Deal of the Week
In my opinion, the best deal of the homes sold this week in Anderson County was a brick 2527 SF 4 bedroom 2.5 bath home on 0.5 acres in Anderson. It sold for $90,000 after being on the market for 8 days. Originally listed at $95,000 and the seller paid $4000 of the buyer’s closing costs.
Great location and good price per SF. Home needs updating but at this price, who cares? The only drawback I see is it looks like they closed in the garage to make a bonus room or den.

This Week’s Hot New Listing
The best deal in my opinion of this week’s new listings in Anderson County is a 1900 SF 4 bedroom 2.5 bath home on 0.3 acres in Anderson. It hit the market at $145,000.
4 car garage. Westside school district. New flooring, paint, HVAC and some appliances. Formal dining room, laundry room. Master suite has walk in closet, garden tub and walk in shower.
The bad news is this house is already under contract. Just shows that buyers need to be ready to make an offer when they find a home they like. Because if a home is priced right and move in ready, it will sell.
26 homes were reported as going Under Contract (Pending) this week.
Currently there are 234 homes in the MLS with an Under Contract (Pending) status.
