Because these statistics are for only one week and all of Anderson County, it may not tell you what is possible for a specific home. As always there may have been more closings but the agent has not turned in the closing sheet to the WUAR MLS yet.
This is only the basics of what happened last week in Anderson County real estate.
Least Expensive Home Reported Sold
The least expensive home reported sold this week was a 1758 SF 3 bedroom 2 bath house on 0.48 acres in the city limits of Honea Path.
It sold for $10,000 CASH after being on the market for 124 days. Originally hit the market at $18,000.
Located in the 29654 Zip Code and the listing agent selected “Other” for all the schools.
The reason the listing agent selected “Other” for the schools is probably because this is a foreclosure and the bank does not know. Buyers should ALWAYS confirm any information (such as schools) that is important to them.
No heat or air but there is what appears to be the remains of a heat pump in several of the pictures. It appears that the copper thieves have torn it apart.
There are NOT any pictures of the interior and limited details in the MLS. Which makes it pretty easy for buyers to skip this home when looking at homes online.
However, skipping a home because of a lack of pictures could be a mistake. If you are a truly serious home buyer, take your time and read the descriptions and details for listings. You may find a deal that other buyers have missed in their haste.
Most Expensive Home Reported Sold
The most expensive home reported sold this week was a 4554 SF 6 bedroom 3.5 bath house on 0.66 acres in Townville.
It sold for $535,000 after being on the market for 120 days. Originally hit the market at $585,000.
Located in the 29689 Zip Code and the Townville Elementary, Riverside Middle, Pendleton High school district per MLS listing.
Waterfront Hartwell Lake home with covered dock in place. The slope to the lake is very steep and the seller was offering a $7000 allowance for the purchase of a Gator or other vehicle to make getting to a from the lake easier.
Flat lots can mean shallow water but a steep lot could mean deeper water. Not always but something to remember.
Also this home is close to one of the bridges on I-85 that crosses Hartwell Lake. This means you could hear trucks…
Home built in 2009. Rustic looking home with Tennessee river rock and sawmill cut ceiling timbers. Slate tile in the bathrooms.
Master suite on the main level. Kitchen has stainless appliances and farmhouse sink. Family room with stone fireplace.
3 bedrooms upstairs with Jack and Jill bath. Downstairs are 2 bedrooms, another bathroom and rec room with wet bar.
Sold Deal of the Week in Anderson County
