This is only the basics of what happened last week in Anderson County real estate.
Least Expensive Home Reported Sold
The least expensive home reported sold this week was a 550 SF 1 bedroom 1 bath house on about 0.21 acres in Anderson.
It sold for $20,000 CASH after being on the market for 10 days. Originally hit the market at $20,000.
Located in the 29625 Zip Code and the Whitehall Elementary, Lakeside Middle, Westside High school district per MLS listing.
Very small home and very limited details in the MLS. Only 2 pictures in the MLS and they are both almost identical views of the front of the house. The lack of interior shots may be due to the property being tenant occupied.
While I know that tiny homes are trendy, this probably does NOT look like the typical tiny home that so many find attractive. It looks like a detached garage with a room above that has been finished into a 1/1 apartment.
Most Expensive Home Reported Sold
The most expensive home reported sold this week was a 3850 SF 3 bedroom 2.5 bath house on 0.57 acres in Anderson.
It sold for $427,875 after being on the market for 227 days. Originally hit the market at $449,900.
Located in the 29621 Zip Code and the North Pointe Elementary, McCants Middle, TL Hanna High school district per MLS listing.
Custom built waterfront Hartwell Lake home. No dock but approved for max size dock per listing and I would strongly suggest this be confirmed by having the Corp look at the property again.
Heat pump. 2 car attached garage. Master suite with walk in closet on main level. Multiple fireplaces. Formal living and dining. New roof 2011 and new heat pumps 2013. Home built in 1978.
Great location close to shopping and I-85 BUT confirming that you can have a dock is a must!
Sold Deal of the Week in Anderson County
The best deal in my opinion of the sold listings this week was a brick 1606 SF 3 bedroom 2 bath house on 0.29 acres in Williamston.
It sold for $79,500 after being on the market for 101 days. Originally hit the market at $87,900. The seller paid $2385 of the buyer’s closing costs.
Located in the 29697 Zip Code and the Palmetto Elementary, Palmetto Middle, Palmetto High school district per MLS listing.
New 30 year roof. New Lennox gas pack with central air. fresh interior paint, refinished hardwood floors, new kitchen floor, new electric range/oven. Detached carport with storage and separate storage building.
Great price and the only negative I see could also be a positive. One of the baths has one of the bathtubs with the door in the side. Whether or not this is a positive or a negative depends on the buyer and what they want/need.

This Week’s Hot New Listing
The best deal of this week’s new listings in my opinion is a 2800+ SF 4 bedroom 3.5 bath house on 0.8 acres in Easley (Powdersville area).
Hit the market at $185,000.
Located in the 29642 Zip Code and the Wren Elementary, Wren Middle, Wren High school district per MLS listing.
Great room with fireplace. Kitchen with tile countertops and smooth top stove. Master bedroom has trey ceiling, bathroom has tiled walkin shower and skylight.
Trex decking. Separate 1 bed 1 bath addition could make great in law suite. 700 SF of unfinished space above the garage.
Great price for home of this size in this location/school district but…
It is already under contract!
37 homes were reported as going under contract (Pending) this week in Anderson County.
Currently there are 260 homes in the MLS with an Under Contract (Pending) status.
