There were 19 homes in Anderson, 1 in Belton, 1 in Central, 1 in Easley, 1 in Liberty, 2 in Pelzer, 4 in Pendleton and 2 in Piedmont reported sold this past week. I checked the homes that sound like they should be in another county and confirmed they are in Anderson County.

Because these statistics are for only one week and all of Anderson County, it may not tell you what is possible for a specific home. As always there may have been more closings but the agent has not turned in the closing sheet to the WUAR MLS yet.
This is only the basics of what happened last week in Anderson County real estate.
Least Expensive Home Reported Sold
The least expensive home reported sold this week was a 900 SF 2 bedroom 1 bath house on 0.72 acres in Pelzer.
It sold for $10,500 CASH after being on the market for 4 days. Originally hit the market at $10,500. I think this home was actually on and off the market for much longer as it went under contract several times before closing.
Remember there is a HUGE difference between a property being under contract and actually being sold.
Located in the 29669 Zip Code and the Palmetto Elementary, Palmetto Middle, Palmetto High school district per MLS listing.
Foreclosure and over 50 years old. Interior has been stripped down to the studs in several pictures. Does not look like vandalism as much as someone never finished rehabbing.
Exterior look rough. Hard to say how the roof is other than some pictures of the interior show the drywall on the ceiling is missing.
If you have the cash in the bank to pay for the materials and could do the work yourself, this might not be a bad deal.
Most Expensive Home Reported Sold
The most expensive home reported sold this week was a 3041 SF 3 bedroom 2.5 bath house on 11.01 acres in Central.
It sold for $650,000 after being on the market for 105 days. Originally hit the market at $800,000.
Located in the 29630 Zip Code and the Mt Lebanon Elementary, Riverside Middle, Pendleton High school district per MLS listing.
I checked and this IS in Anderson county according to the tax records. It is important that buyers always check everything and anything that is important to them or may be important if they ever need to sell the property. DO NOT rely solely upon the listing or information you find online.
The listing description says this is an “almost 100 gem” yet the TMS for the listing comes back as being roughly 11 acres.
I often wonder why some agents do not include all of the TMS numbers being sold in the MLS?
The home is an older brick ranch that looks well maintained and in good shape. It does need some cosmetic updating.
Heat pump. Carpet and laminate flooring. Unfinished walkout basement with garage/workshop.
Screened porch. Formal living room, formal dining room, laundry, office/study. Master suite with walk in closet, double sink, separate shower and tub.
Detached garage/workshop and equipment barn. Stream at the back of the property that has water year round according to the listing agent.
Sold Deal of the Week in Anderson County
The best deal in my opinion of the sold listings this week was a 1646 SF 3 bedroom 2 bath house on 0.6 acres in Anderson.
It sold for $100,000 CASH after being on the market for 19 days. Originally hit the market at $104,900.
Located in the 29625 Zip Code and the New Prospect Elementary, Lakeside Middle, Westside High school district per MLS listing.
Fresh paint throughout. New carpet and flooring. New appliances. Fenced backyard. Central forced air and gas pack heat. 2 car attached garage.
No pictures of the interior for some reason…
How would you feel about your agent NOT taking any pictures of the fresh paint and new flooring in a home you were selling?

This Week’s Hot New Listing
The best deal of this week’s new listings in my opinion is a brick 1195 SF 2 bedroom 1 bath house on 0.29 acres in Anderson.
Hit the market at $54,000.
Located in the 29625 Zip Code and the Whitehall Elementary, Lakeside Middle, Westside High school district per MLS listing.
Foreclosure. Excellent Old North Anderson location within easy walking distance to Linley Park on dead end street.
Hardwood and vinyl floors. Central forced AC and natural gas heat. Fireplace. No garage or carport. Fenced backyard with large deck.
Bath tub looks NASTY and some of the interior looks dated. Also missing appliances.
At this price you could make updates and have a great home in a great location at a great price. Could I use the word great any more?

Currently there are 264 homes in the MLS with an Under Contract (Pending) status.
