This home was a short sale. A short sale is when the seller is trying to sell the home for less than they owe on the mortgage. The bank that holds the mortgage also has to approve the sale and short sales can be very frustrating for everyone involved. Often the banks are very slow in responding. Also the bank may foreclose on the home instead of agreeing to a short sale. Then later on, the home comes back on the market as a foreclosure.
