Least Expensive Home Reported Sold
The least expensive home reported sold this week was a 1000 SF 2 bedroom 1 bath home on 0.2 acres in the city limits of Anderson. It sold for $7,900 CASH after being on the market for 37 days. Originally listed at $7500 so it appears there may have been multiple offers.
Located in the 29625 Zip Code and the Westside High, Lakeside Middle and Whitehall Elementary school district per MLS info.
Foreclosure. Despite selling above list price, this home is a POS and located in an area that many buyers are not interested in. No heat or air. Needs a bunch of work.
Don’t get me wrong. If you are realistic about what you are getting and where it is located, this could be a good rental after rehabbing. I would think Section 8 would be a great option.
Most Expensive Home Reported Sold
The most expensive home reported sold this week was a brick/stone 4178 SF 5 bedroom 4.5 bath home on 1.92 acres in Williamston. It sold for $601,000 after being on the market for 112 days. Originally hit the market at $629,900.

4 car garage. In ground pool. Vaulted ceiling in the great room. Kitchen has granite counter tops, furniture grade cabinets, tile backsplash, high end lighting and stainless appliances. The home has pretty much everything you would expect from a home in the over $500,000 price range.
Sold Deal of the Week
In my opinion, the best deal of the homes sold this week was a 2001 SF 4 bedroom 2 bath home on less than 0.99 acres in the city limits of Belton. It sold for $85,000 after being on the market for 214 days. Originally listed at $99,900.
Located in the 29627 Zip Code and the Belton-Honea Path High, Belton Middle and Belton Elementary school district per MLS info.
Nice looking older home that has been completely updated according to the MLS remarks. How the seller and listing agent define completely updated and how you or I would define updated makes a huge difference. Since this is an older home, I would want to KNOW the electrical, plumbing etc were all brought up to date. And that the windows had been replaced and additional insulation added.
It doesn’t mean much to get a great deal on a house if you can’t afford to heat it because it does not have enough insulation…
But the home looks in great shape and has some beautiful hardwood floors. Forced air/gas pack and central forced air. There are multiple fireplaces but I would STRONGLY suggest having them professionally inspected BEFORE using them.

This Week’s Hot New Listing
The best deal in my opinion of this week’s new listings is a brick 1400 SF 3 bedroom 2 bath home on 0.5 acres in Williamston. Hit the market at $84,900.
Located in the 29697 Zip Code and the Palmetto High, Palmetto Middle and Palmetto Elementary school district per MLS info.
What really makes this home the deal of the week is that it has a walkout unfinished basement. While the basement is not heated or cooled, that extra SF could be great to use as a den, workshop or storage. It just gives you so much potential.
Heat pump. 1 car attached carport. Formal living and dining room.

Currently there are 249 homes in the MLS with an Under Contract (Pending) status.
