Least Expensive Home Reported Sold
The least expensive home reported sold this week was a 1100 SF 2 bedroom 1 bath home on 0.26 acres in the city limits of Anderson. It sold for $8,000 CASH after being on the market for 56 days. Originally hit the market at $14,900.
Located in the 29624 Zip Code and the Westside High, Robert Anderson Middle and Homeland Park Elementary school district per MLS info.
Foreclosure. Looks like an old mill home. Wall furnace and no air conditioning. Needs work but that should be obvious considering the sold price…
After rehab, you could probably rent this home for $450 a month.
Most Expensive Home Reported Sold
The most expensive home reported sold this week was a 3905 SF 4 bedroom 4 bath home on 1.11 acres in Anderson. It sold for $377,546 and appears to already be under contract when entered into the MLS.
Located in the 29627 Zip Code and the TL Hanna High, Glenview Middle and Midway Elementary school district per MLS info.
Brand new never lived and under construction so that should help to explain why the home was already under contract when entered into the MLS. Some builders will only enter a home into the MLS after it has gone under contract. This screws up the Days on Market statistics for new homes and makes it appear that new construction is selling much faster than it really is.
All brick 2 story home with 2 story entrance. Master suite has sitting area with fireplace and walk in closet. Screened porch. Attached 2 car garage. Granite counter tops.
Sold Deal of the Week
In my opinion, the best deal of the homes sold this week was a new/never lived in 3048 SF 4 bedroom 2.5 bath home on less than 0.25 acres in Piedmont. It sold for $185,000 after being on the market for 49 days. The seller paid $2500 of the buyer’s closing costs. Originally hit the market at $196,990.
Located in the 29673 Zip Code and the Wren High, Wren Middle and Wren Elementary school district per MLS info.
Great price for a new home in the Wren school district. 2 story foyer, formal living and dining room. Kitchen has granite counter tops, island with sink, walk in pantry. 9 foot ceilings and archways. 2 car attached garage. The only downside I see is the master suite is upstairs.

This Week’s Hot New Listing
The best deal in my opinion of this week’s new listings is a 5 bedroom 4 bath home with 4543 SF on 2.48 acres in Anderson. It hit the market at $149,900. Anderson address in the MLS and tax records but I would say this home was in Starr.
Located in the 29624 Zip Code and the Crescent High, Starr-Iva Middle and Starr Elementary school district per MLS info.
Foreclosure. Not sure why it is so cheap because it does not appear to be a complete gut and rehab. Don’t get me wrong, it does need work. Such as replacing the HVAC. 3 car detached garage.
19 homes were reported as going Under Contract (Pending) this week.
Currently there are 228 homes in the MLS with an Under Contract (Pending) status.
