Keep hearing other Realtors singing the blues. The market is slow, woe is me, blah blah blah. But don’t cry if…
I just got a phone call from my local Association regarding the FREE marketing seminar that was scheduled to take place Monday. Free training. Free training to help you succeed and make money while helping your clients achieve their goals. But guess what. This was canceled due to a lack of interest.
Nobody wants to learn new or different ways to succeed?
How many of you have complained about the market?
How many are taking active steps to be more successful?
How many of you would turn your noses up at free training?
Especially if it is training that you can use to put money in your pockets?
I see this class as not just a chance to learn but to network with other agents. But I guess the chance to network is not important to other agents, just the same as free training is also not important. Or maybe they look at it as I have mandatory training at my company, why should I go to this class? Why should I learn other methods? I will just stick to doing the same old thing everyone else is doing. No need to set myself apart from the pack.
You can choose to work to improve yourself, and take every opportunity to better yourself. Or you can keep crying about the market, and woe is me. Keep crying, keep on doing what you did several years ago and wondering why your business is not growing. There are others in this business that will adapt, change, improvise, think outside the box and succeed. While others slowly wither and die from their failure to learn and/or change.
I will take advantage of every opportunity to learn, grow and network. I will succeed or die. If I have a slow day, the only person to blame is me. You are responsible for your success, or lack thereof. So don’t cry about it if you are not making money, if your phone is not ringing. If you see others succeeding while you are suffering.
Well, during the time I was writing this low blood sugar induced rant/post, I was able to set up an appointment during this time to meet with a great young, pre-approved first time home buying couple. Maybe that will change my mood. That or eating some lunch. I apologize for letting off some steam, and if I offended anyone. Time to eat!
