Why would I suggest to someone to buy a home or some other type of real estate if I were not willing to do the same thing?
Well I am!
Got to say my wife is one of the most difficult clients I have ever handled as well! I am praying to get the executed contract back this week so we can get the loan to underwriting because the closing date keeps creeping closer and closer. But really, be honest:
Unless you are willing to buy a home why would you suggest to someone to do the same?
I don’t care if I ever make another dime in real estate if it means changing who I am and how I was raised. I tell the truth, even if it means telling someone to save a little more for down payment or your home will not sell for X amount. I am developing additional ulcers from worrying about this closing, but it is no different than every client’s closing!
Some people say don’t become friends with your clients and customers–I disagree and say never give advice you would not take yourself! Treat everyone just like you want to be treated! It will go a long way to long term growth. If all you care about is the next commission, then 5 or 10 years from now you will not still be in the business!
What do you think?
