My advice to my competition is they should not return phone calls…
Interesting phone call I received from an out of state buyer this week. Seems they had been trying for several weeks to reach the listing agent of a home they were interested in and the agent would never call them back. For 3 weeks they continued trying to reach the listing agent.
But within just a few moments of talking to me, I found out where they were now, where they wanted to relocate to and the important fact they are cash buyers. I had to inform them that the home was already under contract but now I have a lead and the listing agent blew it. In under 30 minutes they had 10 homes that fit what they were looking for, sent by a REALTOR that cares about them finding a great deal.
So from now on, please do not answer your phone and change the message on your voice mail that you are too important and busy to return phone calls.
Instead suggest that they call me instead.
Maybe you can even look into just forwarding all your calls directly to me!
The whole idea is to get the phone to ring. The idea that the phone rings and you let it go unanswered is sad. How hard is it to return a phone call?
Is the potential sale not worth the effort?
I know that pressing all those buttons on a phone can cause serious blisters on the tip of your finger. Sad really sad. Even if someone calls on a property that is already under contract, how hard is it to call them?
And sell them another home in Upstate South Carolina?
