Think long term in real estate. Real estate is NOT a get rich quick scheme! We keep hearing people saying that 2012 will be the bottom for home prices. Do not let it make you think that you will be able to buy a home in 2012 and turn around and sell it in 2 years and make money.

However there are Two strong positives for the new Obama refinance plan
2 Months In a Row of Increasing Asking Prices
Department of Numbers is reporting that Asking Prices have increased for 2 months in a row. While they and I both think it is too early to start screaming real estate has recovered, it is a good sign. Also, I would have to mention that asking prices can sometimes be quite unrealistic.
Sad that an agent would tell someone trying to sell their home what they want to hear instead of what they need to hear. But it happens…
Yet Another View on Freddie Betting Against Home Owners

Positive News for Unemployment
Private-sector employment increased by 170,000 from December to January on a seasonally adjusted basis according to ADP. Let’s hope the positive news from ADP about unemployment will lead to more good news for real estate. Time will only tell…
